2012 Shelby GT350 Shelby American Edition | Only 1,585 Miles | Whipple Supercharged | Wilwood Brakes I 525 HP

Less than 500 produced over a 4 year run!

Now available at Morgan Automotive in Beautiful Lancaster County, this extraordinary 2012 Shelby GT350 Shelby American Edition represents a special chapter in modern American muscle-car history. With only 1,585 miles, a Whipple-supercharged 5.0L Coyote V8, Shelby American performance upgrades, Shelby/Wilwood high-performance brakes and rotors, distinctive Shelby styling, and an individually serialized Shelby American plaque displaying its CSM number, this is a remarkable opportunity for the serious Mustang enthusiast or collector.

Developed by Shelby American from the 2012 Ford Mustang GT, the GT350 takes the already impressive Mustang GT platform and transforms it into a far more specialized performance car. This example features a combination of Shelby American upgrades that immediately set it apart, including a Whipple supercharger, Wilwood braking system, 19-inch Cragar wheels, center-mounted dual exhaust, blue racing stripes, Shelby American badging, and a custom patriotic interior.

Inside, the Black Katzkin leather seating is accented with red, white, and blue inserts, while the matching red, white, and blue shift knob continues the theme. The Shelby American plaque with its individual CSM number further establishes this vehicle's connection to the Shelby American production program.

With just 1,532 miles, this Shelby has extremely low mileage for a 2012 performance vehicle and presents a rare opportunity to own a modern Shelby with both exceptional mileage and a highly distinctive specification.

Whipple Supercharged 5.0L Coyote V8

At the center of this Shelby is Ford's legendary 5.0L Ti-VCT DOHC Coyote V8. The 2012 Mustang GT's naturally aspirated engine was rated at 412 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, providing the foundation for Shelby American's GT350 performance conversion.

Shelby took that already powerful V8 and added a Whipple supercharger, dramatically increasing the engine's performance potential. The GT350 program offered supercharged configurations including a 525-horsepower setup, with an available higher-output configuration reaching approximately 624 horsepower, depending upon the Shelby configuration and calibration.

The exact horsepower configuration of this individual car should be verified against its Shelby American build documentation and CSM record rather than assuming the highest-output calibration.

Performance highlights include:

1. Ford 5.0L Ti-VCT DOHC Coyote V8
2. Shelby American Whipple supercharger
3. Rear-wheel drive
4. 6-speed manual transmission
5. Shelby performance calibration and upgrades
6. Shelby-tuned suspension components
7. High-performance exhaust system
8. Shelby/Wilwood performance braking system
9. Shelby American serialized CSM plaque

The vehicle's Ford VIN, 1ZVBP8CF1C5236017, identifies the underlying 2012 Mustang GT platform with the 5.0L V8 and 6-speed manual transmission. The Shelby American conversion is separately identified through its Shelby CSM documentation and serialized plaque.

Shelby/Wilwood Big Brake System

One of the most significant performance upgrades on this GT350 is its Shelby/Wilwood high-performance braking system.

Shelby American partnered with Wilwood specifically to develop upgraded braking hardware for the 2012 GT350. Wilwood's period documentation identifies the GT350 system as utilizing 14-inch rotors with W6A calipers at the front and 14-inch rotors with W4A calipers at the rear. The rotors feature drilled, slotted and e-coated surfaces designed to provide strong braking performance and resistance to heat-related wear.

This system was designed to complement the GT350's additional horsepower and performance capability, providing substantially upgraded braking hardware compared with the standard Mustang GT setup.

Wilwood braking highlights

1. Shelby/Wilwood high-performance brake system
2. Large 14-inch front rotors
3. Large 14-inch rear rotors
4. Multi-piston W6A front calipers
5. Multi-piston W4A rear calipers
6. Drilled and slotted performance rotors
7. High-performance brake pads
8. Brake cooling provisions
9. Shelby/Wilwood performance engineering

Period Shelby GT350 documentation and contemporary coverage specifically identify Wilwood 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brakes as part of the GT350's performance package.

For a Shelby with a Whipple-supercharged V8, the braking system is every bit as important as the engine, and the Shelby/Wilwood setup gives this GT350 the hardware expected from a serious American performance car.

19-Inch Cragar Wheels

The Shelby's 19-inch Cragar wheels provide another distinctive element of its appearance. Cragar has long been associated with American performance and custom-car culture, making the wheels an appropriate match for a Shelby American vehicle.

The wheels expose the substantial Wilwood braking hardware while giving the car a classic American muscle-car appearance.

The combination of:

19-inch Cragar wheels + Wilwood brakes + Shelby suspension + Whipple supercharger

creates a performance package that is substantially more specialized than a standard 2012 Mustang GT.

Shelby American Exterior Styling

The exterior immediately identifies this car as something special.

The blue racing stripes running over the roof and along the sides create the classic Shelby-inspired appearance, while Shelby American badging and the unique body treatment distinguish it from an ordinary Mustang.

Exterior highlights include:

1. 19-inch Cragar wheels
2. Shelby/Wilwood high-performance brakes
3. Blue racing stripes across the top and sides
4. Shelby American badging
5. Shelby-specific exterior treatment
6. Center-mounted dual exhaust
7. Shelby-style front fascia
8. Performance hood treatment
9. Shelby-inspired rocker/body accents
10. Rear spoiler
11. Aggressive performance-oriented stance
12. Mustang fastback coupe body style

The center-mounted dual exhaust is especially significant visually and acoustically, giving the GT350 a distinctive appearance from the rear and reinforcing its Shelby American performance identity.

Custom Katzkin Interior | Red, White & Blue Shelby Theme

The interior is just as distinctive as the exterior.

Inside you'll find a Black Katzkin leather interior featuring eye-catching red, white, and blue inserts in the seats. The patriotic theme continues to the matching red, white, and blue shift knob, creating an interior that is unmistakably customized for this Shelby.

Interior highlights include:

1. Black Katzkin leather upholstery
2. Red, white, and blue seat inserts
3. Matching red, white, and blue shift knob
4. Shelby American serialized plaque
5. Individual CSM number
6. Shelby-specific interior detailing
7. Sport-oriented Mustang cockpit
8. 6-speed manual transmission
9. Shelby badging and trim
10. Driver-focused instrumentation

The Shelby American plaque and CSM number are particularly important for this vehicle. Shelby American maintains vehicle registry information to help document individual Shelby vehicles, their specifications and histories. For a low-mileage GT350, that serialized identity adds an important layer of provenance and collector interest.

Shelby GT350 Performance Engineering

The GT350 program wasn't simply about adding a supercharger and cosmetic upgrades. Shelby American developed the car as a complete performance package with upgrades to the chassis, suspension, braking and exhaust systems.

The Whipple-supercharged Coyote V8 provides the power, while the Shelby/Wilwood braking system provides the stopping capability. Shelby-tuned suspension components help put the power to the pavement, and the center-exit exhaust gives the car the aggressive sound expected from a Shelby.

This combination makes the GT350 a genuine performance-focused Mustang rather than simply a cosmetic appearance package.

The Shelby American Legacy

Few names in American automotive history carry the significance of Carroll Shelby.

Shelby's career began in motorsports, where he established himself as an accomplished racing driver before transitioning into automotive engineering and vehicle development. In 1962, he founded Shelby American, eventually creating some of the most famous performance automobiles in American history.

The Shelby Cobra combined a lightweight British sports-car chassis with American V8 power and became a major force in international sports-car racing. Shelby American ultimately won the 1965 World Manufacturers' GT Championship, defeating Ferrari.

Shelby's relationship with Ford produced another legendary name: the Shelby Mustang GT350.

The original GT350 transformed the Mustang into a serious road-racing machine and established a performance legacy that continues today. The modern Shelby American GT350 program carried that philosophy into the fifth-generation Mustang era, taking Ford's 5.0L Mustang GT and adding Shelby-developed performance, styling and engineering.

This 2012 GT350 therefore represents more than a modified Mustang. It belongs to the modern continuation of the Shelby American performance tradition.

Limited Production & Shelby CSM Identification

This vehicle is represented as part of a limited-production Shelby American GT350 program, with the vehicle's Shelby identity documented by its CSM-numbered plaque.

The CSM number is particularly important because Shelby American used serialized identification to distinguish individual vehicles within its production and conversion programs.

For collectors, the CSM number, Shelby documentation, build information, ownership history and supporting records can all be valuable pieces of the vehicle's overall provenance.

The vehicle is represented as part of a stated 500-unit production figure over a four-year period. Because Shelby production numbers can vary according to model year, body style and configuration, the exact production number attributable to this particular edition should be confirmed through the vehicle's CSM documentation and Shelby American registry.

Only 1,532 Miles

Perhaps the most striking aspect of this Shelby is the mileage.

With only 1,532 miles, this GT350 has accumulated remarkably little road use since its 2012 production. That extremely low mileage, combined with the specialized Shelby American equipment, makes this a particularly interesting example for someone looking for a collector-quality modern American performance car.

The combination of:

1,585 miles

Whipple-supercharged 5.0L V8

Shelby/Wilwood brakes and rotors

19-inch Cragar wheels

Center-mounted dual exhaust

Shelby American CSM plaque

Blue Shelby racing stripes

Katzkin leather with red, white and blue inserts

creates a specification that is extremely difficult to duplicate.

A Modern Shelby With Serious Collector Appeal

This 2012 Shelby GT350 Shelby American Edition represents an exciting intersection of Ford Mustang history and Shelby American performance engineering.

It starts with the iconic 5.0L Coyote V8 and 6-speed manual Mustang GT, then adds the performance hardware that made the GT350 special: Whipple supercharging, Shelby/Wilwood brakes, upgraded suspension, center-exit exhaust, distinctive wheels, Shelby American styling and serialized identification.

The extremely low 1,585-mile odometer reading only adds to the appeal.
